More things

UPDATE: I am currently working on an organic farm high up in the mountains of northern Nicaragua. The family I´m helping out doesn't have much, and they try to live as sustainably as possible. One of the young women, Haslen Sara Pineda Min, runs the school they hold in the house for the children of the family and a few neighboring children. They live too far away for the children to attend the nearest school, so they don´t have access to the supplies that other children receive. Some of the adults also attend the school, hoping to learn english from occasional volunteers, or in some cases, to learn reading and writing in Spanish as well.

Haslen wrote me a list of the things she would like to be able to buy for the children:
Whiteboard or blackboard with markers or chalk
Notebooks, bags or backpacks
Pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners
Coloring supplies, tempera paint
Paper for arts and crafts (crepe paper, surfaces for painting, etc.)
Seats, Tables
Basic supplies like toothpaste
Seeds to teach organic farming
Textbooks and Spanish-English Dictionaries

I have decided to double the price of my paintings and use half of what I make (the original price) to help buy these supplies. The family also needs help buying food that they don´t produce on the farm, like oil, sugar, rice, flour, and beans when there are not enough beans. If you would like to make a donation, in addition or instead of buying a painting, please contact Emily Freedman at 610-220-7359. I only have internet access when we go into town, a long trip that only happens on the weekends. Thank you for your support!

Here are some things I made this past year. If you want to buy one of them (probably because you are a relative and for that I am very grateful) please contact my mother Emily at 610-220-7359. Prices are negotiable through her. Some of my high school artwork is still available, as well, and you can ask about the prices. There are plenty of each of the prints available. I'm on a computer where I can't do much to edit or label these. But, in order of appearance, they are:
