Portrait Painting Event at Beauty Gallery!
On Saturday, February 2nd, I will be painting quick watercolor portraits at Beauty gallery in Newtown Square. Here is an excerpt from the press release:
Hearts & Flowers Exhibit to Open Feb. 2
Work of 7 local artists featured at
Beauty Gallery
Newtown Square, PA
– January 10, 2013 – Paula Jackson, owner of Beauty Art Gallery, is proud to
present their first exhibit of 2013 just in time for Valentine’s Day. Paintings
of flowers and sentimental themes, hand-made chocolates, and “heartful” gifts
will comprise their “Hearts & Flowers” show, scheduled to open with a public
reception from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013. The centerpiece of
the exhibition will be 20 floral paintings by Elizabeth Domotor of West
Chester. Elizabeth Domotor was born in Warsaw, Poland and lived in France and
Germany before moving to the United States.
Also included is an array of paintings featuring fun and
affectionate subjects like Paris, waterfalls, abstract hearts, and still-life
ensembles. These paintings are the works of Rebecca Jacob of Media, Papi of
Havertown, Maureen Vita of Edgmont, Robin Frey of Philadelphia, Katy Winters of
Havertown, and Scott Royston of Baltimore, MD. Philadelphia artist Madalyn
Freedman will be on hand to paint water color sketches of guests, available for
purchase if desired.
“Our hearts and flowers exhibition is designed to delight
many senses, sight, touch, smell and taste,” says Jackson. “We have assembled
American and locally made offerings including chocolates and truffles, soft
faux fur throws and pillows, jewelry, hand-sewn items – unique and unusual
gifts for Valentine’s Day, birthdays, anniversaries and more.” Six different
handmade chocolate truffles will be on hand to sample and purchase.
